Decorative Barks and Ground Covers

Fir Barks can be used as an attractive ground cover for pathways, plant bedding or larger areas to give a clean uniform appearance. They also function as a weed control, slows soil erosion, and holds in moisture to avoid quick evaporation in hot and windy climates. They give the area a clean uniform appearance. Smaller decorative barks are ideal for narrow pathways, flower beds and container plants. They help to "spotlight" shrubs and flowering plants, and are also popular for their wonderful "deep forest" aroma and “root beer” color.
